The Process

(2Ti 2:6) The husbandman that laboureth must be first partaker of the fruits.

The renewing of the mind, the putting off of the old man/woman (Eph 4:22), the transformation into the image of our Lord Christ Jesus from glory to glory (2Co 3:18 ) can ONLY take place in the spirit through the Spirit of God. The problem that many of us encounter is that we attempt to accomplish these spiritual things by doing them in and of ourselves through our own wisdom and understanding rather than by simply allowing the Holy Spirit to do them.

This is nothing new for mankind:

(Gal 3:2) This only would I learn from you. Received ye the Spirit by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith?

(Gal 3:3) Are ye so foolish? having begun in the Spirit, are ye now perfected in the flesh?

Personally I do not believe in “studying” holy scriptures. I do not believe in referring to commentary for edification. I do however believe in looking at certain scripture in the language that they are originally written to better understand what was being said at the time they were written. The rest I leave to divine revelation as it was intended to be.

I do not believe that the hidden mysteries of God can be rationalized by the human mind to the point of true understanding.

(Luk 8:10) And he said, Unto you it is given to know the mysteries of the kingdom of God: but to the rest in parables; that seeing they may not see, and hearing they may not understand.

Our Lord is clearly stating that the understanding of these mysteries are “given” to us. Not that they require our own wisdom or understanding to be understood. In this particular verse of scripture Jesus is the revelator of the mystery (the parable). After Jesus left this earth (ascended to the heavens) in His glorified body the duties of revelator and teacher was passed on to the Holy Spirit Himself. The torch of divine revelation was passed on by The Word to The Spirit to be “given” to the spiritual!

(Joh 14:25) These things have I spoken unto you, being yet present with you.

(Joh 14:26) But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.

Holy Scripture clearly tells us that the Holy Spirit of God shall teach us ALL THINGS, not some things. Why then do we continue to intellectualize with our own minds to satisfy our own understanding that which is clearly something spiritual rather than carnal? Why are we such fools that we try to complete in the flesh that which had begun in the spirit by the Holy Spirit of the most high God?

(Joh 6:63) It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.

Our Lord Himself instructs us that it is “the spirit” that quickeneth (makes alive) His words because “they are spirit”. They are not simply ink written on parchment as recorded in our bibles. They are spirit and they are life. They do not prophet the flesh at all. They are of no benefit to the human mind or our own understanding. In fact scripture is clear that the human mind can’t even understand the spirit of the word of God.

As we read the word of God, especially in the New Testament, it becomes more and more evident that even the Apostles themselves did not understand the words that Jesus was professing. When He spoke in parabolic terms an explanation usually followed. Other times Jesus simply, by spiritual revelation, opened up their minds to understanding.

(Mat 15:16) And Jesus said, Are ye also yet without understanding?

(Luk 24:44) And he said unto them, These are the words which I spake unto you, while I was yet with you, that all things must be fulfilled, which were written in the law of Moses, and in the prophets, and in the psalms, concerning me.

(Luk 24:45) Then opened he their understanding, that they might understand the scriptures,

Have you every wondered why something that seems so simple for us to understand is not received by some, even those within the body of Christ?

(Eph 4:17) This I say therefore, and testify in the Lord, that ye henceforth walk not as other Gentiles walk, in the vanity of their mind,

(Eph 4:18) Having the understanding darkened, being alienated from the life of God through the ignorance that is in them, because of the blindness of their heart:

It is nothing but pride which stands between mankind and true understanding of the deeper things, the spiritual things, the mysteries of the Great I AM. It is the very idea that we can reach God, that we can know Him, that we can even begin to understand that which is beyond our comprehension, the mind of God, with our own intellect and understanding. This is downfall of mankind. It is this belief which shuts off the Kingdom or God in their lives.

It has been written that God’s people are destroyed due to lack of knowledge (Hos 4:6).

I submit to you, my brothers and sisters in Christ Jesus, that this knowledge is not the knowledge which comes from bible commentaries or books about bible history. A doctorate degree does not bring us closer or deeper understanding of the spirit of the bible or in our knowledge of the prefect will of our Father in Heaven, nor His Son, our Lord Jesus the Christ, nor His most Precious Spirit.

(Hos 4:6) My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge,

This knowledge is clearly the perfect will of God as revealed to our spirit ONLY by revelation of the Holy Spirit of God be it through the written word, through His oracles (1Pe 4:11), or by direct divine revelation.
