The Truth about the Trinity

Brothers and Sisters in Christ,

We have been admonished by our Lord & Savior Jesus Christ in Holy Scripture to be alert to false prophets and false teachings especially in these last days.

What we encounter in the world today are people, claiming to be new age prophets, who claim to hold the keys to life and death and possess all revelation knowledge from Almighty God.  To these people, be they preacher, teacher, author, commentator, web site owner or anyone in the body of Christ in general.

WARNING!

(Mat 18:6) But whoso shall offend one of these little ones which believe in me, it were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and that he were drowned in the depth of the sea.

(Mat 18:6 LITV) But whoever causes one of these little ones believing in Me to offend, it is better for him that a millstone turned by an ass be hung on his neck, and he be sunk in the depth of the sea.

( Greek Transliteration)
Who yet ever should be snaring one of the little ones these ones believing into me

The Snare.

(Joh 1:12) But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:

received
lambanō
lam-ban’-o
to get or take hold of

There is a distinction between those who receive (take hold of conceptually) Jesus Christ and those who believe on His name. The former claims an understanding of who Jesus is while the latter points to belief in His name.

This means that our position and relationship to the Father, as sons of God, is determined by two things. First and most importantly that we have a grasp on exactly who Christ Jesus is and secondly that we believe on His name.

So the question which determines if you have a legitimate claim on becoming a son of God is;

Who is Christ Jesus?

There are basically two lines of thought here.

  1. One is the belief that Our Lord and Savior, Jesus the Christ, is the Emmanuel (God with us) written of in (Mat 1:23) Isa. 7:14 We believe that Christ Jesus is God incarnate. We believe that Christ Jesus is God. Further more we believe that the Holy Spirit is the third person of the full nature of the great IAM the God of Abraham Issac and Jacob.
  2. On the other hand there are people who denounce the tripartite nature of God. Some believe that our Lord is the Son of God (seperate from the nature of I AM). A separate god. And if one is a separate part of the great I AM, and no God is greater than He, then Jesus Christ would have to be a lesser God.

With regard to the latter point of view (#2) there is no scriptural evidence to support their position. What they rely on is this snare to trip us up on our understanding just as the enemy did in the garden. Their knowledge comes not from the Holy Spirit of God rather the opinions and commentary of men/women. They provoke you to “expand your mind” with the wisdom of men and with your own fleshy intellect, which appeals to your carnal mind, rather than the teaching of the Holy Spirit which renews the mind through our spirit.

They lay claim to spiritual knowledge and wisdom yet they need to seek out man’s wisdom through books, commentaries and web sites to uncover the Spirit of Truth (The Holy Spirit). They claim that one can find the wisdom of divine revelation in these places. What does Holy Scripture have to say about this methodology?

The Teacher

(Luk 12:10) And everyone who shall say a word against the Son of Man, it shall be forgiven Him; but the ones blaspheming against the Holy Spirit, it will not be forgiven.

(Luk 12:11) But when they bring you in before synagogues and rulers and the authorities, do not be anxious how or what you shall reply, or what you should say;
(Luk 12:12) for the Holy Spirit will teach you in the same hour what you ought to say.

(Joh 14:25) I have spoken these things to you, abiding with you;
(Joh 14:26) but the Comforter, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He shall teach you all things and shall remind you of all things that I said to you.

————————————-

(1Jn 2:26) I wrote these things to you concerning the ones leading you astray.
(1Jn 2:27) And the anointing which you received from Him abides in you, and you have no need that anyone teach you. But as His anointing teaches you concerning all things, and is true, and is not a lie, and as He taught you, abide in Him.

The Scriptural Evidence of Jesus as God

(Joh 17:5) And now, O Father, glorify thou me with thine own self with the glory which I had with thee before the world was.

Jesus is asking God the Father to glorify Him with the glory which He had with Him before the world, that glory is that of “God’s own self”. This means that Jesus had, before coming to earth “in the likeness of flesh”(Rom 8:3) once shared the glory of the great I AM. Jesus says that this glory, the glory of the creator God, the Father, the great I AM, the God of Abraham, Isaac & Jacob, was the same glory that he had “with thee” before the world was. They shared this same glory. They were One!

Is Christ Jesus, our Lord and Savior a lesser god? Is He an angel or a prophet?

(Mat 28:19) Then having gone, disciple all nations, baptizing them into the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,

All nations were baptized INTO THE NAME (Greek – onama – singular) of, not in the names of, the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.   The Son( Christ Jesus), is a person of the tripartite nature of Jehovah God. One nature, one glory, three parts one, the God of Abraham, Isaac & Jacob.

(Joh 10:30) I and my Father are one.
(No commentary needed)

(Joh 17:22) And the glory which thou gavest me I have given them; that they may be one, even as we are one:

Greek Translitteration of 1 John 5:7
that three are the ones witnessing in the heaven, the Father – the Saying (Word) – and the Holy Spirit and these the three one are.
